KIBORG Remedium Build Guide: Unlock, Status Limits, Bosses
KIBORG Remedium guide from patch notes and player threads: unlock at Difficulty 7, what changed in 2025 and 2026, status risks, and why bosses stall it.

What should you pair with Remedium on bosses?
Remedium is the status-focused implant set that players unlock by finishing the Tower on Difficulty 7. It tends to clear normal rooms quickly and then stall on bosses, and it can hurt the person using it. Here is what the studio has said, what players report, and where the two meet.

How do you unlock Remedium?
The official line is in the 15 June 2026 100K-copies post: Beyond the Summit (Difficulty 7) rewards the Remedium implant set. A Reddit commenter in the “Favorite builds” thread says the same and adds that a purple terminal in the starting area tells you how to unlock things. See the difficulty guide.
What has the studio changed about Remedium?
| Date | Change (from Steam patch notes) |
|---|---|
| 16 May 2025 | Status effect tick damage can no longer kill the player; it stops dealing damage at 1 health. This applies to everyone, not just Remedium |
| 30 May 2025 | Health bonus removed from Remedium secondary stats; right-hand poison buildup from attacks 10 to 40; left-hand poison buildup from blocking 20 to 40. The studio’s comment: Remedium was too tanky without meaningful early-game damage options |
| 15 June 2026 | Remedium overall rebalance: statuses build up slower and deal less damage |
The notes publish no full per-slot stat table, so this page does not either.
What do players say about how it works?
The best explanation we found comes from a player in a January 2026 Steam thread, marked as the answer by the person who asked. It is a player report, not an official statement:
- The major synergy negates the debuffs caused by statuses (slowdown, reduced defense), not the damage they do.
- Some statuses deal burst damage when buildup maxes, so several triggering at once can kill you.
- You can counter your own statuses with Second Wind, which they say heals and cleans negative statuses if you have the right perks.
- Some augments and mutations disable the healing from implants in exchange for potency.
- Health altars can force a status-immunity pick when you use them at full health, which they say can break the set.
- In Endless, the effects get weaker and enemies resist statuses far more.
A Reddit commenter adds that the major synergy removes the side effects of statuses and mentions an augment that turns status explosions on enemies into healing for you. The thread author says they could usually play Remedium only if they got status-immunity buffs from meditation, because otherwise their own bleed, poison or burn killed them.

Why does Remedium stall on bosses?
In November 2025 a player who had finished Difficulty 7 said bosses seemed immune or very resistant to statuses, especially the last boss, and that only super moves worked for them on a Difficulty 1 test. KIBORG team member Geisteskrankenchan (his Steam profile says he works on the game as a 3D animator) replied that bosses have a damage buffer to prevent you from killing them too quickly, a band-aid against overpowered sets. He did not confirm status immunity, and neither do we.
In the January 2026 thread a player also says the third boss does not take status buildup on higher difficulties, especially 7. That is a single report and we cannot say which boss they mean.
Geisteskrankenchan’s practical tip: use Ki Explosion to stagger the boss, then shoot with your primary gun while it is down. For the fight itself see the final boss guide.
What do players pair Remedium with?
KIBORG team member Geisteskrankenchan says implants are balanced to be fun as mixes or full sets. In the “Favorite builds” thread one commenter lists a layout with Remedium head, right arm, spine and heart, Thundergod chest and left arm, and Sovereign legs. Another suggests experimenting with Commando legs, saying one piece gives a turret on a negative status effect. Both are player reports. More layouts are in the best builds guide, and the Sovereign build covers the amplifier role.
One player in the January thread says Remedium makes the game much easier up to Difficulty 7 and that they do not use the whole set, while another replies that this stops mattering once Endless starts. Those are opinions about difficulty, not mechanics.
