FAQ

What does the Thundergod Heart do?
The 1 July 2025 patch notes say it was reworked: it prevents death and consumes all energy to heal, and it triggers if you have at least 1 battery. Each subsequent trigger costs 3 more batteries, and the healing was buffed from 3/4/5/6% to 4/5/6/7%.
What else did patches change for Thundergod?
On 30 May 2025 the Thunderstorm Attractor augmentation started to summon lightning instead of just buffing it, and Free Spark gained a new effect: restores 10% of battery after killing an enemy. The same patch made implant primary stats, including Thundergod energy, available from the start of the game.
Does Thundergod change your dodge?
A May 2025 review by Gazettely says the Thundergod set adds electric damage and turns the standard dodge into a teleport. That review was written around launch, so check the in-game set text before relying on it.
Do you need a full Thundergod set?
No. KIBORG team member Geisteskrankenchan says implants are balanced to be fun as mixes or complete sets, and every set gives a bonus when all parts are worn. Steam also has a Thunderstruck achievement for collecting a full set. Since 11 May 2026, set augmentations that needed 4 pieces need 3.
What is a popular Thundergod layout?
The author of a January 2026 Reddit thread uses Guardian head and heart, Thundergod spine, torso and arms, and Sovereign legs, with augments that widen the electric aura and add shock buildup. It is one player layout, not verified meta.

Thundergod is KIBORG’s electric implant set. The studio has published little about it beyond patch notes, but those notes are specific: two augmentations in May 2025 and a Heart rework in July 2025. Players describe the rest. This page keeps those apart.

What do the official patches say about Thundergod?

Date Change from Steam patch notes
30 May 2025 Thunderstorm Attractor augmentation now summons lightning instead of just buffing it
30 May 2025 Free Spark has a new effect: restores 10% of battery after killing an enemy
30 May 2025 Implant primary stats, such as energy from Thundergod, are unlocked from the beginning of the game
1 July 2025 Thundergod’s Heart reworked: prevents death and consumes all energy to heal, triggering if you have at least 1 battery; each subsequent trigger costs 3 more batteries; healing buffed from 3/4/5/6% to 4/5/6/7%
11 May 2026 All augmentations that needed 4 implants from a set now need 3

Steam also lists a Thunderstruck achievement for collecting a full set of Thundergod implants. No source we read publishes a per-slot stat table, so we do not either. Compare names on the implants list.

What does a review say about the set?

Gazettely’s May 2025 review says the Thundergod set adds electric damage and replaces the standard dodge with a teleport, and that teleporting past freeze-punch drones often beat parrying them. It was written around launch and is independent of the studio, so confirm the current behavior in game. Patches after it, like the Heart rework above, changed the set’s survival tools.

What layouts do players share?

The author of the January 2026 “Favorite builds” Reddit thread shares an electric hybrid:

Slot Implant set
Head Guardian
Heart Guardian
Spine Thundergod
Torso Thundergod
Arms Thundergod
Legs Sovereign

They look for augments that widen the electric aura, increase shock buildup and add burn on top of shock in the aura. For mutations they prefer ones that raise shield capacity, especially the one that increases damage based on active shield, and they keep a low number of mutations and keep rejecting offers to raise positive effects. The 17 June 2025 hotfix made rejecting stack positives only. See the mutators guide.

A commenter in the same thread lists two layouts with Thundergod parts: Thundergod head and spine with Commando chest and heart, Gunslinger arms and Sovereign legs, and Remedium head, right arm, spine and heart with Thundergod chest and left arm and Sovereign legs. All of these are player opinions and none are tested by this wiki.

Strengths and gaps

Strength (per sources) Gap
A documented Heart that prevents death for batteries No per-slot stat table published
Free Spark gives a 10% battery refund on kills Launch-era review is the only source for the teleport dodge
Appears in three of the four shared layouts Layouts are single-player opinions

How does it compare with other sets?

KIBORG team member Geisteskrankenchan says Sovereign is especially good at boosting other implants, and Sovereign legs sit in the Thundergod hybrids players share. See the Sovereign build. Remedium is the status-focused alternative, with a different problem on bosses: see the Remedium build. Bosses use a damage buffer regardless of the set, so a Thundergod run still needs a stagger plan: see the final boss guide and the best builds guide.
