KIBORG Farm Data Guide: Currencies, Arenas and Upgrades
How to farm data in KIBORG: what data and tokens do, why the arenas left of the hub help, what Modifiers cost and which mutators and upgrades add data.

What is data used for in KIBORG?
Where should you farm data?
What are tokens for?
Is there a separate money currency?
Which mutators or upgrades increase data income?
People asking how to farm “money” in KIBORG are usually asking about data, the currency that pays for permanent upgrades. Two currencies show up in official posts and reviews: data between runs and tokens inside a run. This page lays out what is documented and is explicit about what is not, because no official page publishes data per run or a best farming route.

What currencies does KIBORG use?
| Currency | When you use it | What the sources say |
|---|---|---|
| Data | Between runs, at the hub | Gazettely: defeat unlocks data, the currency for implant mastery, health, resistances and combos on the skill tree. Steam news: Modifiers and infinite improvements are bought with data |
| Tokens | During a run | Steam patch notes mention safe payouts, bar prices and “starting tokens” as an infinite improvement |
Between floors Gazettely describes branching rewards: data, weapons or implant-related picks. That is the “take data now or power now” choice early runs force on you.
Where do the sources say to farm data?
KIBORG team member Geisteskrankenchan, asked how to make more data efficiently, answered in November 2025: “You could try beating arenas to the left of the main hub, they may provide some quick data rewards.” That is the only farming hint from a KIBORG team member in the sources we read, not a published drop table or rate.
The player who asked reported a little more than 2,000 data from a Difficulty 7 run and said Arena 1 felt harder than normal runs. Both are single reports. If 2,000 is typical, which is unconfirmed, a 75,000-data game mode is dozens of runs away, so the arenas and the multipliers below matter.
What do Modifiers cost?
The 5 November 2025 “Chaos & Control” update added Modifiers that you buy with data:
- Game modes, 75,000 data each: Chaos Mode (a random status effect on Morgan and all enemies every 10 seconds), OHKO Mode (everyone dies in one hit) and Collapse Mode (an annihilation cannon strikes every 5 seconds).
- Cheat modifications, 100,000 data each: for example infinite implant reroll, infinite weapon durability, infinite ammo and infinite energy and shields.
These are late sinks, not what you should aim for on your first clear.

What boosts data income?
The 15 June 2026 patch notes list two documented boosts:
- Infinite improvements unlock after you upgrade the whole skill tree. Each purchase doubles the price of the next. The options are data gain increase, max health increase, starting armor, starting ammo and starting tokens.
- Savings on Insurance, a mutator, now has doubled data gain. It is a run choice, not a hub buff, and it comes with whatever penalty your patch version gives it. See the mutators guide.
On the token side, a 30 May 2025 patch cut safe payouts from 150 to 120 tokens and ammo from 150 to 100, and a 26 June 2025 patch cut bar prices for Bottomless Pit (500 to 400) and Clear Sky (400 to 250). Those values may have changed since.
How does farming fit with builds and the DLC?
Higher difficulties raise enemy levels, so faster clears come from a build that suits your weapons. Compare layouts in the best builds guide. Descent content opens after finishing the main game once, so farming on lower Tower levels and the left-hand arenas is the safer path before you try it. See the Descent guide and the beginner guide.
